Code Enforcement is the prevention, detection, investigation, and enforcement of violations of ordinances regulating public safety, building standards, land-use, and blight issues to preserve the quality of life and appearance in San Joaquin County.

Code Enforcement is primarily reactive to complaints received by our office. However, if we observe a violation posing a safety or health hazard while we are out conducting our daily inspection, we will enforce proactively.

Due to a high volume of reports, the reporting party may not be contacted unless we need more information.
